reggio-inspired learning programme

Our pre-nursery playgroup, Baby Brain in Hong Kong is inspired by reggio learning

Award-winning philosophy

Our teaching philosophy is strongly influenced by the award-winning Reggio Emilia approach, where Reggio pre-schools were identified as "The Best Preschools in the World" by Newsweek Magazine in 1991.

Referencing the latest in children's pedagogy from brain research findings, understanding the importance of Play in children's development, to the research around design and pedagogy furnishings by Play +.

"A school needs to be a place for all children, not based on the idea that they're all the same but that they're all different." - Loris Malaguzzi

At the heart of Reggio is the powerful image of the child.  Reggio educators do not see children as empty vessels that require filling with facts, rather we see children as full of potential, competent, and capable of building their own theories.

about us

"The Reggio teacher is unique because she offers herself to the co-construction knowledge, releasing the traditional roles of a teacher and opening doors to new possibilities.

She starts with the use of the child's own theories, promotes disequilibrium, and helps the child to think about their thinking to facilitate new learning."

Seong Bock Hong, 1998
